Freshslice Pizza is a Canadian pizza franchise founded in 1999 by entrepreneur Ray Russell in Vancouver, British Columbia. Starting as a single by-the-slice shop, the concept grew quickly by focusing on multigrain dough, lower-fat mozzarella, and value-driven slice and whole-pizza deals.

A National Canadian Brand

Over time, Freshslice expanded into a national brand with over 100 locations across Canada, winning recognition such as the Georgia Straight Golden Plate awards for "Best Pizza by the Slice" and franchise-industry accolades for its 0% royalty and 0% advertising-fee model. The brand's franchise system emphasizes productivity and operational efficiency, using a centralized dough and systems approach to keep prices competitive while offering unlimited toppings at one set price.
